Originally from Far North Queensland, I’m currently living and working in Sydney contracting in the LAN/WAN Infrastructure field. I work with a great bunch of guys and we tackle all sorts of issues, but more recently I’ve been dealing with Cisco FWSM, ACE, WAAS and related technologies – but making sure I continue to keep my feet wet in ESX and RHEL etc. Currently looking at Riverbed’s WAN Optimisation solution and hope to get more involved in Avamar and Oracle with some of the other guys eventually. I got my VMware VCP in 2007 and I need to renew my RHCE at some stage in 2008 – but have been getting too involved in the Cisco side of things (again!).
My family and I currently live in Coogee – learning to cope with the big move from a ’small town’ to the monstrosity that is Sydney.
